The coming weeks are packed with festivals and mazes, from spooky to family-friendly. We’ve rounded up three recommendations to make the most of your time in Frederick.
Garver Farm Fall Fun Festival
Garver Farm is a favorite family-friendly destination just a quick 10 minute drive from Landsdale. With attractions throughout the fall and winter each year, including pick your own pumpkins, apples, sunflowers and Christmas trees.
The Fall Fun Festival is now open and features over 50 attractions for all ages! Wander through a corn maze, take a hayride to pick your own pumpkin or apples, bounce on jumping pillows, take a spin in a pedal cart, and visit with the farm animals. Plus, stop by the farm market for seasonal produce, jams and honey, home décor, and apparel.
The Fall Fun Festival is open through November 3.
Winterbrook Farms is home to Maryland’s largest corn maze, which debuts a new theme and design each year. The theme for 2019 is “Drink Milk!” dedicated to the country’s dairy farmers. Race through a total of four corn mazes with over 15 acres of corn and see who can find all 18 checkpoints first!
The farm also has over 20 other activities such as mountain slides, pick your own pumpkin patch, apple cannons, mini ziplines, farm animals, and bale rollers.
The Haunts at Screamland Farms
If you like tricks more than treats and a Hayride of Horrors sounds like a scary good time to you, then The Haunts at Screamland Farms is your destination for a bone-chilling time. Test your limits with two nightmarish haunt attractions. If you’ve had enough screams for one night, take an adrenaline break with an escape room or Zombie Paintball.
Screamland Farms is open through November 2.
